Administered by the OCDE department VSA team, artwork is accepted from students all across Orange County, including public schools, home schools, private schools and private art studios. Each piece submitted to this festival will be displayed and included. There is no adjudication as part of the VSA exhibition. However, artwork submitted to this show may be selected for inclusion in the Laguna Beach Festival of Arts Junior Art Exhibition. Those students selected for inclusion will be contacted directly by the Laguna Beach Festival. For more information about this exciting opportunity, please visit their exhibition page.

ARTWORK SUBMISSION REQUESTS:
It is the intention of all of the exhibitions that all artwork submitted is representative of the talent and work of the age range of the student. One of our goals is to inspire other potential artists to explore and create art as well. Please ensure that the artwork has been entirely created by the student it represents. This includes artwork created by even our youngest students. When deciding what artwork to submit please keep the following in mind:
Please limit the number of submissions of the same classroom project. While we appreciate all classroom art, please only submit one or two of the best pieces of any assignment.
Please ensure that the artwork is representative of a student’s independent work- free from parental or teacher dictation and involvement.
Students submitting to the VSA Exhibition above are welcome and invited to submit art to the other two exhibitions (3D and 1000 Pieces.) Should you be interested in participation in those exhibitions, please visit the appropriate page for additional information.
Notifications will be sent to teachers via the email address that is listed on the entry forms.
Adjudication: As noted above, VSA Art Show is a non-judged exhibition. However, artwork may be selected for inclusion in the Laguna Beach Festival of Arts.
PLEASE NOTE: Although every effort is made to ensure the safety of all artwork, exhibiting in public places is done at the risk of each participant. Many individuals will handle the artwork during the delivery, judging, display, and return process. Arts Orange County, Orange County Department of Education, Garden Grove Unified School District, Festival of Arts of Laguna Beach, Saddleback Church and VSA California of Orange County are NOT responsible or liable for lost, damaged, or stolen art. Participation in these exhibits is voluntary and intended for educational use. Submitted work may be used for promotion and advocacy of the festivals of the arts and arts education.
