Three Dimensional Art Show

An exhibition of three-dimensional work taking place at Saddleback Church in Lake Forest.

Three-Dimensional Art Show Submission Specifications:

  • All 3D artwork must be securely packaged in boxes.  Label the outside of the box with the teacher, school, and district or private school address in bold letters.  All artwork should come in a box of some sort.

  • Wall art, such as masks, must have hanging mounts attached so that it’s ready to be hung.

  • All work must be labeled correctly utilizing the submission procedures below.  Artwork that does not meet submission guidelines will be returned.

  • Teachers: Please limit the number of submissions of similar work to no more than two (2).  One of our goals is to show a wide range of student art from PreK through 12, which necessarily means we limit the number of pieces per grade.  We will show up to a maximum of 100 pieces, which would mean less than 10 pieces per grade. Please only submit the best pieces from each studio, school or district, with this limitation in mind.

        • Coordinators reserve the right to exclude pieces from being judged should they not meet the guidelines, or if there are multiple pieces from a single student.

Artwork Submission Procedures:
All artwork must be registered using the online entry form found at the bottom of this page.

  • All sections of the entry form must be completely filled out.  Artwork without an online entry will not be judged or allowed to compete.

  • Once submitted online, each submission will receive an email with an attached exhibition label.

    • Please print out the entire form on white paper.

    • Attach entry form to artwork using string, wire, or rubber bands.  During the exhibition, this information will be used to create a label for the front of the students work.  Please ensure that the label is securely attached to the piece, as it is the only identification form we have.

Imagination Celebration visual art exhibits are open to all Orange County students in grades PreK-12.

  • It is the intention of all of the exhibitions that all artwork submitted is representative of the talent and work of the age range of the student. One of our goals is to inspire other potential artists to explore and create art as well. Please ensure that the artwork has been entirely created by the student it represents. This includes artwork created by even our youngest submitters. When deciding what artwork to submit please keep the following in mind:

    • Please limit the number of submissions of the same classroom project. While we appreciate all classroom art, please only submit one or two of the best pieces of any assignment.

      • Our team reserves the right to select two pieces of each same assignment per each school to present to the judges. Similar assignments across different schools will all be judged, regardless of the teacher.

    • Please ensure that the artwork is representative of a student’s independent work- free from parental or teacher dictation and involvement.

      • Our team reserves the right to remove pieces from judging if the work is deemed to be enhanced by teachers or parents.

      • This includes all artwork submitted by private schools, public schools, after school programs and private studios.

    • Please submit a maximum of two pieces of artwork per student for all grades grades.

      • Students may submit a piece to EACH exhibition they are eligible for, i.e. a single student could submit a clay pot and a wood piece to the 3D exhibition, two drawings, two photos and two digital illustrations to 1000 Pieces. A VSA student can submit to all three shows, however their work will be judged alongside all other work for both 3D and 1000 Pieces.

      • We will be screening art to ensure this guideline is met. Should you submit more than two pieces to each exhibition by the same student, we reserve the right to choose which piece will be judged ourselves.

  • Notifications will be sent to teachers via the email address that is listed on the entry forms.

  • Adjudication: All submissions will be judged and selected for display by an impartial group of art educators and professional artists.

PLEASE NOTE: Although every effort is made to ensure the safety of all artwork, exhibiting in public places is done at the risk of each participant. Many individuals will handle the artwork during the delivery, judging, display, and return process. Arts Orange County, Orange County Department of Education, Garden Grove Unified School District, Festival of Arts of Laguna Beach, Saddleback Church and VSA California of Orange County are NOT responsible or liable for lost, damaged, or stolen art.
